'The Voice' Season 10 Coach News: Christina Aguilera Returns
A familiar face will be returning to the upcoming season of "The Voice."
It was reported that season 10 of "The Voice" will have Christina Aguilera as one of the coaches once again. She will be taking over Gwen Stefani's seat, who will now serve as a mentor of Blake Shelton's new team.
During an interview with Parade, Aguilera expressed her excitement about returning to the show. She stated that she is looking forward to winning in the season to come. It was revealed that Aguilera has yet to win a season of "The Voice."
When asked about how she will go about winning, she said, "I'm trying, man. This is the first time that I have, I think, the most consistently great talent. They're really dynamic. And, I wish I could say more, because I'm really that excited. But I think this might be the year."
She also stated that she has been taking notes on how to win. However, she admitted that she did not really have a strategy regarding how to win. She explained that she tries to focus on helping her artist clear their head space and mindset despite all the criticisms they receive.
She added, "I do notice every year that half the battle, once we start getting into the nitty gritty of competition, is talking the competitors out of their own heads. It's hard to be faced with the onslaught of criticism."
Meanwhile, fans are also looking forward to see Stefani and Shelton working together. The two recently announced that they are a couple during the filming for aeason 10 of "The Voice." However, US Weekly reported that the two had already been dating for quite some time.
With that, Shelton is also excited to work with Stefani. He describes her as smart and talented, making him lucky that she will be one of the mentors for his group.
Season 10 of "The Voice" will premiere on NBC on Feb. 29.
