'The Voice' Season 10 News: Christina Aguilera to Return as Coach?
"The Voice" season 10 is set to come back this February, and there are reports that Christina Aguilera will return to NBC's reality show as coach.
Christina Aguilera will make a comeback as a coach in "The Voice" when the reality singing contest returns for its 10th installation in February 2016. The "Beautiful" singer will once again train new singing stars alongside co-coaches Blake Shelton, Pharell Williams, and Adam Levine during the show's next season, according to the International Business Times (IBT).
Williams is about to mark his fourth season in "The Voice" as the 10th installation comes in. He is starting to become a fixture in the show, especially after his contestant Sawyer Fredericks won in "The Voice" season 8, TV Line reports.
Paul Telegdy, the president of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment, said the coaches of "The Voice" possess the level of energy and expertise required for an Emmy award-winning show. He also said he is excited for what "The Voice" season 10 will bring to its fans, the report relays.
Aguilera, on the other hand, discussed her new album in her recent interview with NBC Today.
"I've been loosely working and sort of accumulating ideas of what my next album will be over the next couple of years," IBT quotes Aguilera's statement to NBC. "I'm excited for my fans to finally be getting something from me; it's been a while."
Aguilera's fans are excited to see her once again sing with Levine in "The Voice." Gwen Stefani and Shakira previously took Aguilera's place during her absence from "The Voice." It can be remembered that Aguilera temporarily dropped out of the show in August 2014 when she gave birth to her daughter Summer Rain. She has also been busy completing her new album, the report details.
"The Voice" season 10's official premiere date is still unconfirmed, but it will begin airing in February 2016. As of now, "The Voice" season 9 can be viewed Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
