'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers, Plot News: Major Character Will Die in New Season Premiere Episode
AMC's hit TV series "The Walking Dead" will now premiere this Sunday in a one-and-a-half hour episode, and rumors are already surfacing that a major character will die in the season premiere.
According to Hypable, one of the early screeners of the new season of "The Walking Dead" confirmed the death of a major character this Sunday. Deaths in the series are pretty much normal, but it does not stop the fans from speculating who could that character be.
Inquistr noted that most of the spoilers released an epic fight between Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Loyal show viewers are guessing that it will now be Father Gabriel's time since the priest has been wishing for death ever since.
International Business Times also reported that an Alexandrian named Carter (Ethan Embry) will be one of the casualties in season 6. Viewers do not know much about the character's backstory; however, according to Entertainment Weekly, Carter "has been there the whole time."
Meanwhile, Greg Nicotero, the show's executive producer who directed the last two season premieres of the show, will be back once again to direct the first episode this upcoming season. Season 6 episode 1 is entitled "First Time Again," and the producer teased fans that the new season will feature a new format, according to Movie Pilot. The show will now tell two stories, while featuring "current events with flashbacks." Nicotero is known for his vivid imagery when he directed Tyreese's (Chad Coleman) death. Fans considered the scene as one of the most memorable deaths of "The Walking Dead."
Fans will get to see more zombies this time, according to the report, while the "Wolves" are expected to take a backseat in the premiere episode. Viewers definitely have a lot to watch out for in the sixth season of "The Walking Dead."
"The Walking Dead" will air this Oct. 11 on AMC.
