'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers Week Jan. 19-23: Amelia Heinle Leaving the Show?
Is Amelia Heinle leaving "The Young and the Restless"?
There have been rumors claiming that Heinle is about to leave the show and the role of Victoria Newman. The news had fans worried as Victoria is one of the soap's more popular characters. But according to Michael Fairman Soaps, a "Young and the Restless" spokesperson denied the rumors, and though Heinle is away from the show for the moment, her character, Victoria, will only be temporarily away from Genoa City.
"Amelia isn't going anywhere," said the Y&R spokesperson to Fairman. "The character of Victoria has a lot of story coming up!"
More than one actress has played Victoria Newman throughout the soap's run, and Heinle has played the part since 2005. According to Inquisitr, in the midst of the rumors, it was discovered that Heinle took down her Twitter page, which fueled the speculation that she was leaving the show.
However, reports indicate that Heinle's sister in law, Jane Heinle, passed away on Dec. 31 after a difficult battle with cancer. It has been said that the actress was very close to Jane and that she often referred to her as her sister, and the actress may have been spending some time away from the show and social media to deal with this difficult time in her life.
Meanwhile, here are "The Young and the Restless" spoilers for Jan. 19- 23:
