Tiger in Bathroom: Woman in Shock After Finding Tiger in Circus Bathroom (VIDEO)

A tiger has been found in a bathroom by a stunned, and no doubt terrified, woman at the weekend, according to reports.

The tiger in fact belonged to the circus, and it appears as though it managed to escape for a short time from the Isis Shrine Circus over the weekend at the Bicentennial Center.

A woman, who was visiting the circus, reportedly left her seat to go to the bathroom following the tiger's big performance. However, when she opened the door she received the fright of her life when she saw the same tiger inside the bathroom just two feet away from her.

She has described that upon seeing the tiger she simply turned around and tried to walk as calmly as she could back out of the restroom.

The woman has reported, "I didn't know it was in the bathroom, and I walked in the (open) door, which closed right after I had walked in. I saw the tiger; it was at most two feet in front of me, and I turned around calmly and walked back toward the door."

She added, "It was the closest I have ever been to a tiger not in a cage. You don't expect to go in a bathroom door, have it shut behind you and see a tiger walking toward you."

According to the Salina Journal, the tiger is believed to weigh about 250 pounds.

The manager at the Bicentennial Center, Chris Bird, has since confirmed that the tiger escaped shortly after one of its performances. Circus workers are said to have created a barricade after the animal found its way into the woman's bathroom. The woman went into the bathroom at just the wrong time, using the opposite entrance.

Bird said: "Once she saw the tiger, I'm sure she knew to go the other way … Overall, it was a scary, surreal moment. I am glad no one was hurt or injured."

Krehbiel said: "My daughter wanted to know if it had washed its hands … That was her only concern. I think that shows the thoughts of children and that they wouldn't have known there was danger."
