Toni Braxton, Birdman Are Not Yet Married Despite Secret Wedding Rumors

Contrary to reports, Toni Braxton and Birdman have not tied the knot.

The "Un-Break My Heart" singer's rep told Us Weekly that the recent rumors claiming Braxton wed Birdman in a secret ceremony is not true. "Toni is dating," said Braxton's spokesperson, noting that the Grammy-winning artist will release "a new single called 'Deadwood' from her forthcoming album 'Sex & Cigarettes.'" The studio album is scheduled to be released in early 2018.

The Cash Money Records co-founder and Braxton have known each other for a long time. Fourteen years ago, they collaborated on the 1992 single "Baby You Can Do It." The couple made their relationship official during last year's BET Awards when they were spotted holding hands backstage.

Although the pair has yet to confirm their relationship status, Braxton's mother, Evelyn, seems pleased with the rumors linking her daughter to the New Orleans native. She had known Birdman for a long while before the rumors surfaced, and she has nothing but good words for the producer.

"I met him years ago. Toni been knowing him ... 15 years ago something like that," Evelyn said in 2016. "Ever since I've been knowing that man, he's been phenomenal. So let me say, I hope so."

Braxton was previously married to Keri Lewis. After 12 years of marriage, the duo got divorced in 2013. They are parents to sons Denim, 15, and Diesel, 14. Before dating Braxton, Birdman has dated several famous personalities including Trina, Kimora Lee Simmons and Keyshia Cole.

Jasmine Brand first reported about Braxton's alleged marriage to Birdman earlier this week. The media outlet noted that the two have eloped, but are still keeping it a secret. The story comes just weeks after Braxton's younger sister, Tamar, revealed that Birdman had been acting like a brother-in-law in the Braxton family.
