'Two and A Half Men' Ending After Season 12: 'It's About Time,' Say Fans
"Two and A Half Men" is finally coming to an end after 12 seasons, CBS announced Wednesday, and fans and critics of the popular sitcom are happy to see it go. Showrunner Chuck Lorre has some surprises in store for viewers through the show's last season, and some are even speculating that the infamous Charlie Sheen could return to the comedy he was fired from in 2011.
"Two and A Half Men" ending was revealed by CBS executive Nina Tassler at the network's pre-upfront press breakfast. She said that similar to "How I Met Your Mother," the final season of the show will have a big event.
"Chuck Lorre is creating a season-long event," she explained. "We did very well last year with announcing the final season of 'How I Met Your Mother' here, too. Chuck is very psyched about this; he's got some great ideas and very big surprises."

Some fans have speculated that the surprise is that Charlie Harper isn't really dead and will show up in the season finale. Tassler said she didn't know if that would happen, though, so the "Anger Management" actor's appearance is still up in the air.
Others, though, pointed to the show's declining ratings and loss of its stars— Charlie Sheen's craziness in 2011 led to his ouster, and Angus T. Jones hasn't appeared in an episode since May 2013 after he called the show "filth"— and said they were glad to see the show finally end.
"It should have ended after Charlie left. It has been downhill ever since!" Sharon_78 wrote on the Us Magazine blog, referring to Sheen's replacement Ashton Kutcher.
"It's time for it to end," Daisy Duke agreed. "No storyline that is going anywhere."
"That show was over a long time ago," Peggy said on the Huffington Post blog.
"Should have ended six years ago," said another.
"Two and A Half Men," which has consistently appears in the top 25 shows for ratings on the network, will have to be replaced. To that end, CBS also picked up five new dramas about fighting crime: "Scorpion," "Stalker," "CSI: Cyber," "Battle Creek" and "NCIS: New Orleans."
"Two and A Half Men" will air on Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST.
