'Two Car' Episode 5 Spoilers: Can Rival Team's Unexpected Break Up Change the Way Yuri and Megumi View Their Relationship?

The Miyakejima Tourist Trophy (TT) event has yet to truly begin, and yet, a racing pair is already on the verge of breaking up for good. How will Izumi and Nagisa's crumbling relationship change Yuri and Megumi's perspective about their own problematic team on the Japanese sports anime series, "Two Car"?

In the previous episode, Izumi and Nagisa swapped partners with the main protagonists, Yuri and Megumi, to learn and gain new things and perspectives about the race while riding with someone else other than their partners.

However, while one team struggled with getting used to having a different person ride with them, the other surprisingly thrived and could even be better off racing together.

This, in turn, caused some friction between partners Izumi and Nagisa, which caused the former to slap her partner before declaring that they should split up.

But could this racing pair really be through, or can Nagisa still find a way to persuade Izumi to rethink her decision on the next episode? How will Yuri and Megumi, who were there to witness it all, work together to help fix Izumi and Nagisa's relationship? And how will this, in turn, help them see their own relationship/rivalry in a different light?

It can be recalled that while Yuri and Megumi may be part of a single racing team, they are also each other's worst enemy as a result of developing affections for one person: their former racing kneeler coach who has since left the island to pursue his own racing dreams.

But after the previous episode ended at such a surprising turn, will Yuri and Megumi finally find the right reasons to start working on fixing their relationship? If so, will this cause some significant changes to the way they play the game?

"Two Car" airs on Saturdays at midnight JST on AT-X and on Mondays late night at 12:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS Fuji. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
