UFC 194 News: Post-Event Fighter Salaries And Medical Suspension List Released

The list of medical suspensions and post-fight salaries for some of UFC 194's participants has been released.

In a report by MMA Fighting, newly minted UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is facing a possible six-month medical suspension. Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and former title-holder Chris Weidman also share the same fate.

The report adds that "The Notorious" requires an x-ray on his left wrist, the same hand that he used to throw the knockout punch on Aldo with. If results render it positive for damage, he will be required to get a medical clearance from doctors. If he is unable to do so, he will not be allowed to fight until June 2016.

For newly crowned 185-pound Luke Rockhold, an x-ray is required for his left foot/ankle. If he gets a positive result for damage, he will need to be cleared, otherwise, he will not be allowed to compete until June. The minimum medical suspension for him would mean no contest until January 12 and no contact until January 3rd.

Weidman, on the other hand, needs x-rays for both feet. He will need clearance from doctors if the results turn out positive for damage. Being unable to do so will require him to be in the sidelines, away from fighting, until June. The minimum medical suspension for him would mean no contest until February 11 and no contact until January 27.

The other former champion, José Aldo, is barred from any contact until January 27th. His suspension will last until February 11th.

Fighter's salaries for the past weekend's event have also been released.

In another report by MMA Fighting, McGregor was the night's highest earner, taking home a total of $500,000. Former champion José Aldo, on the other hand, was able to bag a total of $400,000.

The night's third highest-earner was former WEC featherweight champion and UFC veteran Urijah Faber, who took home $300,000.

In the co-main event match-up, champion Luke Rockhold took home a total of $160,000. Meanwhile, former middleweight champion Chris Weidman was able to bag a total of $275,000.
