Upcoming Android Phones 2015: Meizu Launches Another Midranger, But With Budget Pricing

In another attempt to get noticed in the competitive Chinese market, a local phone maker recently released it newest Android smartphone.

Based on a recent report by GSM Arena, the manufacturer has unleashed the Meizu m2 Note in its home market with decent specs and a very affordable price tag.

In the report, the device packs a 5.5-inch IGZO display that has been made by Sharp. The screen has the usual Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, and an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz. The device runs on a MediaTek MT6752 chipset, and Mali T720 MP3 GPU for discrete graphics performance.

The m2 note also features either a 16GB or 32GB built-in memory, both of which offer microSD card slots for storage expansion.

Powering the camera department are 13MP Samsung-made CMOS camera sensor, while there is a 5MP front shooter that has a 69° f/2.0 lens.

The Meizu m2 Note is powered by a 3,100mAh battery, a glossy polycarbonate casing, and dual-SIM card slots. Unfortunately, the second SIM card slot is actually the microSD slot, so users would need to choose which feature they need more.

The Android-powered smartphone features global support for Cat.4 LTE connectivity, and retails for only CNY 999 ($160) in China for the 32GB model. On the other hand, the 16GB edition costs CNY 799 or about $130, which is still an incredible price tag for a smartphone with these specs.
