Upcoming HTC phones 2015: New One E9 Spotted in the Wild, Sports Huge Camera Sensor

The Mobile World Congress was just a week ago and yet a number of upcoming devices are already preparing to make their way to the market.

One of the latest handsets to make an appearance through leaked images is the HTC One E9 (previously known as the A55).

In a report by GSM Arena, the Android-powered smartphone was spotted in Chinese regulatory website TENAA.

In the report, the high-end device gets showcased in several angles, including a rear view shot that highlights its massive primary camera.

Based on previous rumors, the device will boast the same 20MP camera of the One M9, although the image shows a much bigger sensor that can possibly work better in low-light conditions.

Other alleged specs of the device include a MediaTek chipset that supports 64-bit applications, 3GB of RAM, and a 32GB internal memory.

The "lower-end" model is also said to boast a 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, as well as a 13MP front shooter, if not the 4MP UltraPixel camera of recent high-end devices from HTC.

While the HTC One E9 is definitely a looker, its polycarbonate plastic build may turn off some consumers. It was probably a design choice in order to keep the pricing low for the Android device.

In the report, the One E9 will be officially launched either on March 11 or 17, based on the latest invitations the Taiwanese manufacturer sent out.
