Veterans Day Free Meals 2017: Which Restaurants Offer Free Meals?
Veterans Day is just around the corner, and Americans are already excited to know which restaurants and retailers are going to give away free meals and other freebies on this special day. It has been a tradition for many national food chains and retailers to offer deals to veterans on Veterans Day, as a means of thanking them for the service they have rendered to the country.
Although most restaurants and retailers limit their deals and freebies to veterans alone, some also offer discounted food and discounts to those who are still actively serving, as well as to retired troops. As the United States commemorate Veterans Day on Nov. 11, Americans can expect this coming weekend to be a festive one, with parades blocking the thoroughfares and thousands of veterans lining up in restaurants to grab free meals and avail of huge discounts.
Veterans and active troops should take note that not all restaurants offer discounts and that the deals offered are usually exclusive to certain meals and items only. Restaurants and retailers also require proof of military service, so it will be necessary to bring an ID to take advantage of the deals. These proofs of identification may include a military ID card, a DD form, Veterans Affairs Health ID, a current driver's license, or a state-issued ID with the veteran seal printed on it.
In Denver, deals for veterans will begin appearing as early as Tuesday, although most establishments will start offering deals on Friday. These restaurants include Applebee's, Bar Louie, California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, Denny's, IHOP, Little Caesars Pizza, Red Lobster, Red Robin, Ruby Tuesday, Starbucks, Texas Roadhouse, T.G.I. Friday's, and Village Inn.
Other restaurants throughout America that are also offering free meals this Veterans Day are BJ's, Carrabba's, Chili's, Friendly's, Golden Corral, Margaritas, Old Country Buffet, Olive Garden, On the Border, Quaker Steak and Lube, and White Castle.
