'Vikings' Season 4 News: New Characters on the Way; Ragnar Recovers
Just few more days until fans will be able to catch all-new episodes of the Irish-Canadian historical drama series "Vikings." The show will be returning to the small screen for its fourth season on Thursday, Feb. 18 at History Channel. But before it could even premiere, spoilers have already been dropped to give viewers a heads up on what will happen next.
According to Christian Today, the premiere episode of the show will be titled "A Good Treason" and it will feature Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) lying in his bed, trying to recover from fatal wounds. The official synopsis released in Zap2it reads: "As Ragnar lies in his sick bed in Kattegat, events unfold beyond his control; Bjorn orders the arrest of Floki for Athelstan's murder; Rollo betrays his Viking supporters to strengthen his position; Kalf announces joint Earldom with Lagertha."
A teaser trailer has also been released and it showed a scene between the daughter of Emperor Charles, Gisla (Morgane Polanski), and Ragnar's brother, Rollo (Clive Standen). In the sneak peek, Gisla is seen crying and feels afraid being in the same room with Rollo, who reminds her that she is his wife. Gisla disagrees and shouts at him to leave her alone. Spoilers say that the Princess of Frankia will do everything she can just to get away from her marriage with Rollo.
Fans can also expect to see some new faces in the series. Katheryn Winnick, who plays as Lagertha, revealed that there are some additional characters that will be introduced in season 4.
Some of which include King Harald Finehair and his younger brother Halfdan the Black who will be played respectively by Peter Franzen and Jasper Paakkonen. A Chinese slave named Yidu will also be introduced as someone captured in the Red Sea. The character will be portrayed by Dianne Doan.
More of "Vikings" season 4 will be unveiled once the show starts airing.
