Vivo X6 Specs Rumors: 6-Inch Smartphone With Dedicated 1 GB RAM For Graphics
Vivo's Weibo account recently hinted that a new smartphone is coming – one that is named X6. The Chinese company was originally expected to follow up its XPlay 3S with a newer version called XPlay 5S. Instead, it teased that it is in fact coming up with a smartphone that will be the first to have 1 GB of RAM allocated just for graphics, according to a report in Tech Times.
In its Weibo account, the company showed an image of a gift box with the name X6 on it. No other information has been released about the device.
If reports and rumors are true, however, the Vivo X6 will be the first ever smartphone to sport a huge 1 GB RAM entirely for graphics use, out of the 4 GB total RAM of the device.
Among its rumored specs is a large 6-inch display, making it more like a phablet than just a mere phone. Resolution will be Quad HD and it will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.0 protection. Under the hood, it will have a powerful deca-core Helio X20 processor, paired off with 4 GB of RAM, 1 GB of which will be for graphics use only.
It is reportedly equipped with Force Touch technology, the same technology on ZTE Axon Mini and the Huawei Mate. It will have a powerful rear-facing camera at 21-megapixel and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, which are definitely better than the cameras available on the latest flagships. Phone Arena also reported that it will have a dedicated shutter button for its cameras.
It is said to come pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop and will offer dual SIM support. To power the phone, a 4,000 mAh battery will be on board. Its dual speakers will also be Hi-Fi enabled to produce better sound.
Another unprecedented feature of the phone, if reports turn out to be true, is its thickness which is said to be only 4 mm, possibly making it one of the thinnest smartphones in the market.
Consumers will need to wait for Vivo's official announcement on when the new device will be made available.
