'Voltron' Season 4 News: Latest Clips and Photos Released During NYCC Panel

"Voltron: Legendary Defender" returns for its fourth season later this week, and new footages and images from the show have been revealed.

In a new clip from DreamWorks Animation (via Comicbook.com), Prince Lotor heads to Daibazaal for answers. He explores what's left of the place where his parents met and where his mother tried to learn about the rift on the planet. Thanks to the gate that he built, Lotor could now travel through the rift and mine it for quintessence.

New photos showing the Voltron Force in action have also been released during the recent New York Comic Con. Images from season 4 show Pidge on her own as she embarks on a new mission to find her brother. Although Shiro has agreed to become part of the Castle of Lions, Keith still believes Shiro is the only person that should be the Black Paladin. Keith seems determined to convince Shiro that he is the true leader of the Paladins.

Season 4 of the hit animated series picks up right where it left off in the previous installment. The Paladins will be working together in an attempt to build the Coalition. Lotor, on the other hand, will find himself at odds over the empire with a newly awakened Zarkon.

While the Paladins will be in a good place when season 4 kicks off, new clips from the show suggest there will be some tension among the team members. Pidge finds new leads about her missing brother when she finds someone selling the type of bombs used to free Matt. She also gets a chance to show her fighting skills when the dealer tells the Galra about her search.

The complete fourth season of "Voltron: Legendary Defender" premieres Friday, Oct. 13, while seasons 1, 2 and 3 are all available for streaming on Netflix.
