'Welcome to the Ballroom' Episode 18 Spoilers: Tatara and Chinatsu Are Ready to Compete Again
Now that the complication between dance partners Tatara Fujita and Chinatsu Hiyama has been cleared, will their performance improve significantly as their next competition approaches on the Japanese anime series, "Ballroom e Youkoso (Welcome to the Ballroom)"?
It can be recalled that Tatara and Chinatsu have since transferred to a new dance studio, and their new coach, Marisa Hyodo, has been known for creating winners.
Coach Marisa has also given them a new goal to work towards; that is, participating in the upcoming Tokyo Metropolitan Dancesport Tournament. However, in order to do so, they will first need to realize, address, and subsequently, work on their biggest issue.
Tatara has always struggled with the idea of taking the lead on the dance floor. On the other hand, since Chinatsu used to take the lead herself, failing to find a partner she could truly rely on has been causing her to act out and eventually rely on her own dancing instead.
This setting has more than once caused much friction between the two of them. If they really want to win their upcoming competition and thus be good enough to join the Grand Prix, they will not only need to learn to take on their individual roles properly, but they will also have to gain trust in each other's abilities.
The preview for the next episode, titled "Competitor No. 13," shows the newly reconciled dance partners in next competition venue, wherein it seems that they will once again compete against Chinatsu's former partner, Akira Komoto.
Will their newfound understanding of their partnership help them be on their best form on the dance floor? Or will an unforeseen complication impede their progress yet again?
"Welcome to the Ballroom" airs on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available for regions outside Japan via Amazon Prime's Anime Strike service.
