What is Rapture? Nibiru and Apocalypse Predictions for Sept. 23
American Christians are worried the world will come to an end on Saturday, Sept. 23, which according to Christian theorists, has been proclaimed in the Bible.
Rapture is the term Christian theorists are using to call the alleged phenomenon. This apocalyptic event is believed to signify the return of Jesus to Earth to shepherd the living and the dead towards eternity in heaven.
Theorists believe that the splitting of the heavens referred to in Thessalonians 4:16-17, with God coming down to usher his subject to heaven, will happen this weekend.
One theory on Rapture suggests that starting on Saturday the world will fall into a cataclysmic suffering, and it will last for seven years. The apocalyptic event is reportedly the same phenomenon being referred to in Revelation 12:1-2.
The passage suggests that a woman, who is interpreted to be the Virgin May, "clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet" will appear on Earth to go up against a "great red dragon."
Another popular theory, which merges faith with science, suggested by Christian numerologist David Meade predicts the coming of a mystical planet called Planet X or Nibiru. He, like many others, believes that the passage from Revelation signifies the arrival of the planet.
"The great sign of The Woman as described in revelation 12:1-2 forms and lasts for only a few hours," Meade stated. "According to computer generated astronomical models, this sign has never before occurred in human history."
He continued, "It will occur once on Sept. 23, 2017. It will never occur again. When it occurs, it places the Earth immediately before the time of the Sixth Seal of Revelation."
Meade believes that the prophesied event will bring volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and earthquakes. He first predicted the apocalypse to take place in October, but he eventually changed his prediction and moved it a few weeks earlier.
NASA has already addressed the talk about this mysterious planet. Back in 2012, they called stories of Nibiru and other planets a hoax, emphasizing how the claims have no factual basis.
