How To Know What I Should Pray For?

As a Christian, you are aware of the value of prayer. You value its importance of strengthening your relationship with Him. You know that the lesser you pray, the farther you are drawn away from Him. But there are Christians who still wonder what to pray for. If you're one of them, this article is for you.

1. Family

Start with the closest and most important things in your life which is your family and home. Pray for His continued blessing and protection of your parents, spouse, siblings and kids. Pray for their success in their work and studies. Ask God to help all of you in whatever difficulties you're faced with.

2. Friends

Lift up your friends in prayer to God especially those who haven't met Him. Ask Him to soften their hearts so they may accept Him the next time you share the Word to them.

3. Church

Remember to also lift your pastors and church elders in prayer that they remain above reproach and continue to serve as an example of holy living. Pray that your church will be able to harvest more souls for His glory.

4. Work

Be thankful for the work that you have for it is a blessing from above. Ask for wisdom in going about your tasks so you may be able to contribute positively to your company's growth. Pray for blessings along with your boss and co-workers so your company may prosper further and continue providing employment to other people.

5. Country

Pray for God's protection over the country and ask Him to continue using it as a light of the world. Pray for unity in these trying times. Pray for officials that they may be enlightened to follow God's and not their own wisdom. Ask God to touch their hearts so they will learn to listen to their constituents and not always insist on what they want.
