WWE Fastlane 2016 News: Alberto Del Rio And Kalisto Booked For Rematch; Main Event Match Revealed
Matches for the World Wrestling Entertainment's Fastlane pay-per-view have been revealed.
The said pay-per-view event is slated to take place on February 21 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
In a report by Sean Rueter for Cageside Seats, former United States Champion Alberto Del Rio will be part of the said event, in a rematch with current champion Kalisto. Both men faced each other during the recently concluded Royal Rumble event last January 24, where Kalisto defeated Del Rio to become the new champion.
Currently, Del Rio is reported to have suffered a back injury, but according to Rueter's report, he will be taking a few weeks off to heal up.
Meanwhile, the main event of the said night will be featuring a triple threat match between Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose to determine who will be Heavyweight Champion Triple H's next title challenger.
The winner of the match will be facing "The Game" on April 3rd, at the company's 32nd annual blockbuster event, WrestleMania, which will take place at the AT&T Center in Arlington, Texas.
In another report by Geno Mrosko for Cageside Seats, Ambrose laid out what he believes would be the scenario when he gets in the ring, particularly against Brock Lesnar. Ambrose says his main game plan is to wear out Lesnar, whom he expects to use his strength advantage.
After which, he intends to capitalize on the situation through unrelenting attacks.
"And that's when he gets his ankle broken! That's when he gets his finger broken, that's when he gets his nose broken, that's when he gets his eye ball gouged out, and when his eye ball is dangling above the mat he starts to wonder 'man, maybe I should have taken Dean Ambrose a little bit more seriously,'" an excerpt of Ambrose' statement reads.
