WWE Latest News: Updates On Cesaro's Injury, Wrestler 'Favored' By Vince McMahon To Make Immediate Return

Updates on the shoulder injury of World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Cesar have been released.

In late November, the 35-year-old professional wrestler (whose name is Claudio Castagnoli in real life) underwent shoulder surgery to repair some torn tendons. In a report by Brad Davis of 24wrestling.com, the estimated time of recovery given by doctors was four to six months.

In another report by Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone, Cesaro will be returning to Birmingham, Alabama to visit Dr. James Andrews to continue his rehabilitation and get another update on the condition of his injury. Because of the uncertainty of his situation, Cesaro is expected to miss the WWE's major pay-per-view event for 2016, WrestleMania 32, which is targeted to take place on April 3rd at the AT&T Stadium, also known as the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas.

The said venue holds a maximum seating capacity of 105,000.

Cesaro's absence in the WWE ring has evidently left his fans in a state of disappointment. But apparently, the most notable person affected by it is none other than the company's head honcho Vince McMahon.

In another report by Eric Arrington of Daily Wrestling News, McMahon was greatly impressed by Cesaro's performance on the November 16th episode of Monday Night RAW against Roman Reigns, that he wanted the said match to close the show that night.

Instead, the contract signing between Paige and Charlotte became the show's curtain call.

"Vince was also very impressed with Cesaro's RAW match against Roman Reigns right before he went out of action," an excerpt of Arrington's report reads. "Vince believed it was Reigns' best match yet, mainly because of Cesaro."

The report adds that many of Cesaro's colleagues are hopeful for his immediate return as he is described to be a "well-liked" individual, both by his fellow wrestlers and the members of the company's creative team.
