'X-Men ResurrXion' Comic Titles to Be Released in April
At the dawn of the renaissance of comic titles about superhuman mutants, Marvel is once again ready to capture the attention of comic fans worldwide with the upcoming release of several ambitious titles from the "X-Men" franchise.
The initiative is titled "X-Men ResurrXion" and through this project, Marvel will be releasing an arsenal of 10 comic titles such as "X-Men Gold," "X-Men Blue," "Generation X," "Weapon X," "Jean Grey," "Old Man Logan," "Iceman," "Cable," "All-New Wolverine" and "Astonishing X-Men."
"In the wake of war with the Inhumans, the X-Men regroup for a new era of action and excitement! Experience the next bold chapter in the saga of Marvel's mutant heroes and it all begins this spring in your local comic book shop," Marvel's official press release reads.
Through Marvel's "ResurrXion" initiative, a brand-new line of "X-Men" titles will be released starting this spring when both the upcoming first issue of "X-Men Gold" and the "X-Men Blue" are made available in comic shops and on digital devices.
"ResurrXion" picks up after the short yet brutal war of the X-Men with the Inhumans. After almost a year, mutants all over the world can finally heave a sigh of relief with the neutralization of the Terrigen mists. However, the X-Men will now have to deal with the consequences of their actions.
The X-Men must deal with the fallout from their preemptive strike against the Inhumans; the branding of Cyclops as a war criminal; and Emma Frost's vengeful intentions toward the Inhumans.
The upcoming series of "X-Men" comic books will also introduce new adversaries as well as globally-threatening situations. Readers will also get a taste of classic threats such a Magneto's ever-shifting allegiances, the Hellfire Club and the never-ending fight against anti-mutant sentiments from regular humans.
Marvels' "X-Men ResurrXion" is slated to arrive in print and online starting this April. A trailer has also been released to promote the upcoming launch of the new "X-Men" comic book titles.
