New 'Late Show' Host Stephen Colbert Asked 'What is God?' - Hear His Answer From Scripture (VIDEO)
The big news in the media world today is that Stephen Colbert, host of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report," has been announced as the successor to late night legend David Letterman on CBS's "The Late Show."
Colbert is known for the buffoonish conservative character he plays on his hit talk show, a satirization of Bill O'Reilly and other right-leaning pundits. With his acerbic take on Conservatism, some are surprised to learn that Colbert is actually an outspoken Roman Catholic and believer in God. He attends church and is a children's Sunday school teacher.
In this 2007 interview on NPR's "Fresh Air" podcast, host Terry Gross asks Colbert, "What is God?" He ponders the existential question and then answers straight from Scripture.
