  • The Way We Were

I have been amazed at the testimonies of some people, when they tell me the way they used to be.

  • Walking Together

People who walk alongside me often will tell me that I walk really fast. And I do. This has always been a problem for my wife, but she doesn't actually walk that slowly. It is just that she doesn't walk as fast as I do. And then when you add heels to the equation, it makes it even worse.

  • Heaven's Rewards

I have a friend who has run a lot of triathlons and has even competed in some Ironman events. He has a lot of medals, and so I once dared him to go out in public wearing them. I said, "Put on all of your medals, and go walk around."

  • Caught Up!

In Scripture, we find a number of examples of people who were suddenly caught up into heaven.

And according to Revelation 20, one day at the Great White Throne judgment, the books will be opened, and the dead will be judged by the things written in the books. A book also will be opened, whi

  • Catfish in your Tank?

I heard a story about some fish suppliers who were having problems shipping codfish from the East Coast. By the time the fish reached the West Coast, they were spoiled. They froze them, but by the time the fish arrived, they were mushy. So the seafood company decided to send them alive. . .but the fish arrived dead. On their third try, they once more shipped the fish alive, but with one difference. They included a catfish in each tank. The catfish, you see, is the natural enemy of the codfish. B

  • Three Objectives of the Church

Have you ever seen a movie set? It is never the way it appears onscreen. Everything seems smaller and more fake. That beautiful, three-story building you see on the screen may just be a painted façade, propped up by pieces of wood. It is never as impressive as it appears.
