  One of the most frightening aspects of the Colorado massacre is that the accused --James Holmes – is described as having a plan when he allegedly walked into the Aurora movie theatre and fired at moviegoers. The ammunition and equipment involved shows the attack could have been much worse. He was not only armed to the teeth and booby trapped his apartment with explosives and chemicals, but he was prepared in case anyone in the theatre had a gun to stop him.

  The accused gunman in last Friday's midnight movie massacre in Colorado – James Holmes – reportedly mailed a notebook on July 12th….."full of details about how he was going to kill people" to a University of Colorado psychiatrist . But the parcel sat unopened in a mailroom before its discovery Monday. A law enforcement source reported there were also drawings in the notebook.

  In the wake of the deadly mass shooting at a Colorado theater, there have been several arrests for making threats during or after watching the new Batman movie . In one case, movie-goers in Sierra Vista, Arizona, panicked when a 27 year old man who appeared intoxicated was confronted during a showing of the movie. It caused "mass hysteria" and about 50 people fled the theater.

  The Colorado theatre shooting suspect James Holmes made his first court appearance yesterday. District Attorney Carol Chambers said the complex case will require the investigation to continue right up to the trial, which could begin within a year.

  A deadly shooting rampage at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. Fourteen people were killed and over 50 injured when a lone gunman opened fire during an early morning screening of the new Batman movie. A suspect is now in custody.

  A kidnapper in Egypt has released two Americans hostages and their Egyptian tour guide. They were in good condition. Among them was a 61 year old Boston Pentecostal Pastor-- Michel Louis. He was on a church trip when he was abducted in broad daylight—along with the others by an Egyptian Bedouin who stopped a bus, ordered the three to get off, and then took them captive.

  America's 1.1. billion dollars in aid to Pakistan could be in jeopardy. It's over Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani doctor jailed in that country for helping the CIA track Osama bin Laden. US Senator Rand Paul claims to have enough support to force a vote on the Senate floor later this month on a bill stripping Pakistan of U.S. aid unless Afridi is released.
