Of the 26 FBI informants who traveled to the U.S. Capitol for Jan. 6, two of them "had been tasked by their respective handling field offices to travel to DC in order to report on [domestic terrorism] subjects who the field offices understood were planning to travel" to Washington specifically "for the events of January 6."
A third informant was "tasked by its field office to report on travelers to DC for the events of January 6" after the informant notified the agency of their plans to travel to Washington, according to the report.
