6 inspirational songs for Palm Sunday

'Hosanna, Loud Hosanna'

“Hosanna, Loud Hosanna” derived from a poem written in 1873 by Jeanette Threlfall, a hymn writer who was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, England.

“She described how little children sang hosannas: ‘Through pillared court and temple the lovely anthem rang.’ Focusing on Jesus, they sang praises! She wrote of ‘an exultant crowd’ that chanted clearly and loudly. And she pictured how glorious it would have been to join in the chorus, singing ‘Hosanna in the highest!’” according to the Inspiration Ministries website. “This poem became a hymn that is still sung in many churches. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of worship, and all the reasons we have to celebrate.”
