1. Vice President Kamala Harris 

While President Joe Biden won the overwhelming majority of the popular vote and delegates in this year’s Democrat presidential primaries, he dropped out of the race last month amid pressure from within his own party due to his performance in June’s presidential debate. 

Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his chosen successor and the party coalesced around her as the Democrat nominee. Harris has selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate.

According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls measuring voter intentions in the race, Harris secures 48.4% of the vote in a two-way race with Trump. Her vote share drops to 45.4% in a five-way race featuring Trump and three leading independent and third-party candidates that is now obsolete with Kennedy out of the race. In both scenarios, Trump narrowly trails with 46.9% support and 44.4% support, respectively.
