10 Christmas-themed movies available to watch at home
'Christmas Cupcakes' — UP Faith & Family
UP Faith & Family is showing several films for the holidays.
The film “Christmas Cupcakes” premiered on Dec. 1 and centers around a hope-filled message on the importance of family.
“When their family bakery may have to close its doors right before Christmas, rival sisters Kim and Gina must team up in a national baking competition to win the grand prize. Thrown into a world of fierce competitors and a ticking clock, it will take a Christmas miracle to save the bakery, though they may discover a prize much larger than they had hoped for,” the film’s description reads.
Starring in “Christmas Cupcakes” is Cindy Busby, Erin Karpluk and Corey Loranger.
'Christmas Recipe for Romance'
Another UP Faith & Family flick that began streaming at the top of the month is “Christmas Recipe for Romance.”
This film, starring Madeline Leon, Sebastian Sacco and Peggy Calvert, also takes place in a kitchen but is about a young woman who can't cook.
“When a prestigious food festival and cooking competition comes to her small town, Abby sees it as the perfect opportunity to book up her failing family-run inn and win some much-needed cash to save it from foreclosure. The only problem is, Abby is a terrible cook. But when a Christmas miracle drops a well-known, and slightly disgraced celebrity chef named Jason Corwin on her doorstep, Abby knows this is her chance to save her business and help Jason regain his reputation. And with a little pinch of sugar and a dash of Christmas magic, they may just end up cooking up more than a winning recipe,” the synopsis reads.
'Baby in a Manger'
The film “Baby in a Manger” will debut on Dec. 11 and is about a social worker who, with the help of a young police officer, sets out on a search to find the mother of a child who was found abandoned in a nativity scene at her church.
“Baby in a Manger” features actors Monica Rodriguez Knox, Michael Morrone and Caylin Turner.
