Aristotle by Mattel
With a slew of smart-home gadgets flooding the market in the last year, Mattel has found a way to set itself apart by releasing one geared towards kids. The makers of Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels have come up with the Aristotle, an Amazon Alexa voice-activated smart assistant. Paired with a camera, the $300 speaker device acts as a baby-monitor which can play lullabies, read out stories, alert you if your kids need any assistance and even order diapers when you run out. Mattel also claims that it can understand a child's speech using a proprietary AI engine. This means that it can answer their incessant questions and even help out with homework.
