In 2014, a photo meme was circulated around social media claiming that former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney are unable to travel to Europe because they have "outstanding warrants" there.

Feeding into the leftwing narrative that Bush and Cheney are war criminals, Politifact stated in a 2014 article that the meme's claim "is flat wrong."

"And while it's theoretically possible for a national court to issue an arrest warrant against either man ... there is no sign of that happening. We rate the claim False," stated Politifact.
