11-Y-O Boy With 4.0 GPA and 1770 SAT Score Becomes Youngest Student Ever at Texas Christian University
An 11-year-old boy with a 4.0 GPA, a 1770 SAT score and a plan to become a quantum physicist began his first week at the Texas Christian University as the youngest student ever in the school's 140 year history.
The boy, Carson Huey-You, started reading books with chapters as a 2-year-old, began high school at 5 and now he plans to earn his PhD before he is 20, according to a NBC News report.
"He was completely off the grid when it came to even the most basic of things, like completing an application or completing a financial aid form. Because of his date of birth, those forms would not accept his application," Ray Brown, dean of Admissions at TCU told NBC.

With the application process now out of the way, Huey-You is now attending calculus, physics, history and religion classes on the Fort Worth campus with his mother by his side every step of the way.
"It's just really fun to have her around," Huey-You said.
Although he is only 11, Huey-You says he is also interacting nicely with his older classmates.
"I've actually managed to make a few friends here," he said.
Asked to share an example of something that might get him in trouble, he paused for a moment to think then said with a grin: "wrestling with my brother a little bit too hard." He also doesn't seem to have any plans to skip his childhood despite his high intelligence. He enjoys playing video games, his favorite movie is "Star Wars," and he loves the "Chronicles of Narnia" book series.
When asked if he ever gets in trouble, Huey-You replied, "yes."
According to TCU's website, it is "the largest of 14 colleges and universities associated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a denomination committed to demonstrating true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice."
Students at the school also come from more than 60 religious groups and participate in 22 recognized student religious organizations on campus, including groups for Christian, Jewish and Muslim students.
