2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan news: Auto is 'most powerful' in company's history

While Cadillac has branded itself with the highest degree of class and sophistication, the latest model, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan, is deemed to be the "most powerful" yet.

In its official website, the company refers to its 2016 CTS-V as "the most powerful vehicle in our 112-year history," as it "combines functional design and sophisticated technology."

Sporting a 6.2 L V8 supercharged engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle indeed proves to be one of the best. While it shares the same basic construction as that of the LT4 engine seen in the 2015 Z06 Corvette, it comes with 640 horsepower, 630 lb-feet of torque, can run 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and tops its speed runs at 200 mph.

According to The Gospel Herald, Cadillac enthusiasts think that the company has come up with a race car in its third-generation V-series due to its "athletic stance," instead of a classy one.

Aside from its structural and suspension enhancements for effective steering and cornering, the exterior has been designed seemingly for lift reduction, enhanced cooling, and an obviously improved aero capability.

Experts say the entire model appears to have been given a total makeover that changed every panel in the body, save the doors and the roof.

Although the overall look may be athletic, some reports say the 2016 model still appears to be driver-friendly and yet classy as it sports performance seats for comfort, and comes with entirely new wireless connection. Its Performance Data Recorder provides real-time data that will guide the driver on the road.

As technology is a main issue that car companies have been battling over for the past decades, Cadillac proves to be just in line with the rest as it improves the driving experience with its Curb view camera.

Cadillac has not yet announced a release date, but prices range from $83,995 to $102,010.
