2016 Toyota Innova Release Date Expected November 2016, Features Eco Mode
Fans of the Japanese automotive manufacturer Toyota will be delighted to know that its latest car model, the 2016 Toyota Innova, may be arriving next month. Those who have been waiting for this vehicle will finally be able to see what the company has in store for its customers.
The truth is, Toyota has been very careful about keeping its reveal date under the wraps. But according to International Business Times, an Indonesian website revealed that the new-gen Innova's global unveiling will be held in Indonesia and will take place this coming Nov. 23 already.
The report went on to say that the Indian market may expect the arrival of the vehicle sporting its new avatar in the early part of 2016. The unveiling in the country will then follow, which is speculated to take place during the 2016 Auto Expo. For the past few months since July, the new Innova has been spotted doing some test runs with camouflage in India.
In a report by Indian Cars Bikes, it said that Toyota is planning to generate an estimated total of 90,000 units of the new generation Innova every year for India. It will come with 2.4 or 2.5-litre diesel engines with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. It will also be based on the platform Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle and will have a Q variant as paramount trim.
The new model will feature an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and will come along with dual air bags, shark fin antenna, tweaked front and rear bumpers, three-point seatbelts for seven passengers and a middle seat Isofix as standard. It will also have a bigger hexagonal grille on the redesigned front end. When it comes to the interior, it will have a dual-tone design and its steering wheel is expected to be updated. A touchscreen head unit will be a mode of entertainment.
Sources say that the 2016 Toyota Innova is speculated to cost more than the current model, with an expected price of Rs 1lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh.
