2018 'Predator' Movie Release Date, Cast News: 'Game of Thrones' Star to Play a Former Marine in Upcoming Sci-Fi Film

The fourth installment of "Predator," which is coming in 2018, is confirmed to add a new cast member into its roster, and it is none other than "Game of Thrones" actor Alfie Allen.

Known for portraying Theon Greyjoy in the popular HBO fantasy drama series, Allen will play a former Marine who will be at the forefront of fighting the Predator in the upcoming science fiction film.

The actor joins other confirmed stars of the project such as Keegan-Michael Key ("Key and Peele"), Sterling K. Brown ("This Is Us"), child actor Jacob Tremblay ("Room"), Trevante Rhodes ("Moonlight"), Boyd Holbrook ("Narcos") and Olivia Munn ("X-Men: Apocalypse") - most of whom will team up with Allen's character to defeat the Predator.

Movie director Shane Black also revealed a teaser photo of the confirmed cast through Twitter with the caption: "Partial cast... beautiful human beings, good people. Also, killers. Cameras roll today. Follow me on Twitter for updates. Wish us luck."

Shooting begins in Vancouver this week, and Black further confirms that the upcoming "Predator" installment will be R-rated.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but fan theories suggest that the new movie might feature a modern America suburb.

However, many are wondering how this new "Predator" movie could possibly reconcile the first three "Predator" movies, plus its spinoffs such as "Alien vs. Predator."

Black previously shared through an interview with Thrillist that the 2018 "Predator" movie will be a sort of expansion that needs to take place - meaning, it might be a bigger spectacle than the previous installments.

The upcoming movie is set for a Feb. 9, 2018 release date with Fred Dekker and Black as its screen writers and John Davis as one of its producers.

The lead actor of the first "Predator" film, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was once in talks to reprise his role for the upcoming installment. There was no further confirmation about this yet, though there was an initial agreement between Black and Schwarzenegger.
