2019 Audi A7 Sportback News: Everything to Know
The automobile market has been stirring with activity, as auto shows line up as an opportunity for automakers to show off their current projects, and what they envision to be the future of cars.
Recent reports have revealed that following Porsche and Volvo's reveal, Audi has released the 2019 A7 Sportback. The automobile giant has marketed it as the car that will epitomize the sporty look of Audi, and at the same time, offer the luxury that the brand is known for.
According to reports, the 2019 A7 Sportback was made to compete with Mercedes-Benz CLS and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, as it is equipped with a semi-autonomous driving technology that is being marketed with the recently unveiled Audi A8.
Furthermore, the A7 Sportback has received a redesign, now sporting a face that looks akin to the A5. Audi is making a point with the creases on the upcoming model, as it also features new headlights, wide grille, and new taillights. Furthermore, its trademark design, the rear hatch, has survived the redesign.
The 2019 Audi A7 Sportback will feature a 2.0-liter V6 engine, 340 horsepower, and 369 pound-feet of torque. This means that it is expected to have optimal handling, as well as speed. The Audi A7 is also expected to hit 62 miles per hours in about 5.3 seconds. It will also be equipped with a hybrid system, which can be triggered when coasting. The engine will then turn off until acceleration is needed by the driver.
The 2019 Audi A7 Sportback is expected to have gasoline and diesel variants, four different suspension setups, as well as an option to add four-wheel steering. There is no official release date yet for the flagship but it is expected to arrive in U.S. showrooms by 2019. Meanwhile, it will go on sale in Germany in February, with a price tag of €67,800 or $80,000.
