'24: Legacy' Season 1 Episode 9: Naseri Invades CTU, John Donovan to Back Out of Presidential Campaign?

Carter (Corey Hawkins) and Andy (Dan Bucatinsky) may have survived what would've been a suicide mission to take Jadalla (Raphael Acloque) down, but in doing so, they may have brought a much bigger threat to the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) headquarters in the next episode of "24: Legacy."

The upcoming hour of "8:00 PM-9:00 PM," will find CTU under siege by a new villain that Carter has identified as Naseri (Oded Fehr). There is not much known about this character, other than the fact that he's one of Jadalla's men. And he may have also done something truly heinous in the past for Carter to recognize him and later on tell Locke (Bailey Chase) about his impending threat.

And as though to prove that he is, indeed, a much bigger problem than Jadalla, Naseri goes off to launch an attack on CTU headquarters, forcing Keith (Teddy Sears), the current director, to put the building on lockdown and order his men to mobilize every possible force they have to defend their fort.

In the midst of Naseri's explosive invasion of the CTU, John (Jimmy Smits) reaches out to his wife Rebecca (Miranda Otto) after their previous falling out following Almeida's (Carlos Bernard) advanced interrogation of Henry (Gerald McRaney). The official trailer for the next episode also shows him telling her over the phone and he does not want to lose her. Will the two of them ever see each other again and properly settle their differences?

John will also have to face a big decision in his campaign. After everything that went down in the previous hours, can he still continue campaigning for president? Will his father's actions force him to back down or will the prospect of becoming president and serving the greater good keep him going?

The final scene in the trailer shows Henry telling his son that he has covered his tracks good and that nobody will be able to trace his actions back to him. Will this be enough assurance for John's campaign, or is there something else brewing between father and son?

The series' main protagonist, Carter, will also be facing a tense situation of his own. Will this have something to do with the terrorist threats, or will this concern a more personal matter between him and his injured brother, Isaac (Ashley Thomas)?

"24: Legacy" season 1 episode 9 airs on Monday, March 27 at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
