'24: Live Another Day' Renewed or Canceled? Show in Danger of Cancellation?
Fans are now beginning to worry whether or not there will be another 24 hours for Jack Bauer as the ratings are rumored to be declining, according to reports.
"24: Live Another Day" is indeed a winner when it comes to ratings, according to a report by Air Herald. However, Fox is still concerned of the viewer's percentage drop as compared to the previous season.
"Live Another Day" has indeed fallen short if Fox bases the ratings on live showings and same-day DVR data. However, when all modern viewing methods are to be considered, the latest season outdid season 8 with 10.7 million viewers -- a full 200,000 more.
Even when compared to other shows that fall in the same timeslot, Live Another Day still comes off stronger than shows like NBC's "American Ninja Warrior."
Whether the show remains on air or not is up to networks executives.
Executive producer Manny Soto took to Reddit to announce that the network will not continue to shoot "24: Live Another Day" in 2015 with star Kiefer Sutherland. However, fans may still have to keep their hopes because there might be a possibility that the show will not return in 2016.
"As of now, there are no plans to continue the show next year but we remain open to the possibility. We had a great time doing it this year and would love to take another crack at it," Soto said.
