'24' On Fox, Kiefer Sutherland Returns For 12 Episodes
Kiefer Sutherland is returning as Jack Bauer on the hit television series "24" this coming May, reports indicated this week.
The drama premiered in 2001 and ran over eight seasons with the series finale occurring in 2010.
However, Fox announced that "24" would return as a 12-episode series entitled "24: Another Day," which will premiere on May 5, 2014.

"I'm about as anxious and wound up as I've been in a long time," Sutherland revealed during a Television Critics Association meeting on Monday, according to the Associated Press.
"There's a great impetus for all of us to create something new with the show," he added.
"24" is the longest-running espionage-themed television drama of all time, and it has earned critical acclaim that includes both Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.
Sutherland, who is actor Donald Sutherland's son, will return to "24" just four years after where the series finale left off- with Bauer being hunted by the CIA. The new show will be filmed in London.
"Things will be blowing up- cars, double decker buses, things like that," the actor explained, according to AP. "I'm sure we'll be hated by a large portion of London for snarling up their traffic here and there, and for that I apologize in advance."
"24: Live Another Day" will maintain the show's famed real-time format with split screens and entwined stories.
In addition to Sutherland, "24" also starred Mary Lynn Rajskub, Carolos Bernard, and many other actors who are returning with the new series.
Rajskub was among the thousands of "24" fans who eagerly awaited news that the series would make a return. The actress portrayed Chloe on the series.
"I have a lot of people who refuse to call me anyone but Chloe," she said, reported AP. "I never thought '24' would come back and in this format."
Nevertheless, fans are also clamoring for a "24" movie, but Sutherland said that idea is an "ongoing situation."
