3 Times Planned Parenthood, Abortion Groups, Promoted Themselves After National Crises
3. PP President on the Rescission of DACA: Everyone Has a 'Right to Live'
President Trump's decision to rescind a 2012 Obama executive order known as DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) has generated much controversy. Ironically, this federal immigration policy change had the president of the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood, saying everyone had the "right to live."
The DACA program, which approximately 800,000 undocumented persons have taken part in since it was instituted, allows some who entered the country illegally as minors to be eligible for work permits and not risk deportation.
In a Sept. 6 email to supporters, obtained by The Christian Post, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards wrote: "Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation."
"We believe in every person's right to control their own destiny and their own body. We stand with our allies who are leading this fight and will never stop fighting for this vision. Protecting immigrant families from inhumane attacks, assault, and deportations is critical to making that vision a reality," she continued, inviting supporters to go to WeAreHereToStay.org, a website linked with PP's political action efforts.
