5 Christian artists releasing new music in 2019
Bethel Music, Victory (January 25)
Popular worship band Bethel from Redding, California, had a series of battles they faced in 2018 which birthed their new album, Victory.
From raging wildfires to adoption and health battles, the band lives to tell their stories of God’s miracles in 2019.
The upcoming album will feature Bethel alums Cory Asbury, Brian and Jenn Johnson, Jonathan David and Melissa Helser, among others.
Known for anthems such as “No Longer Slaves” and “One Thing Remains,” Bethel promises to keep the heartbeat of their worship going with their testimonies expressed in Victory. The album references the story of King Jehoshaphat and the unbelievable victory won by sending worshipers out to the frontlines of battle.
"Last Christmas, we almost lost our son to a battle with a deadly disease,” Bethel Music CEO Joel Taylor said in a statement shared with CP. “We spent five-weeks of sleepless nights in the hospital by his side as our prayers became our weapons and our worship became our warfare.”
“In the battle for his life, the global church community rose up like a mighty army and joined us in prayer and worship all over the world. Our son was miraculously healed and today is perfectly healthy. For us, Victory has become a declaration of truth over hopelessness, a prophetic statement in the storm of adversity, and a battle-cry when facing the impossible. The battle belongs to our God, and our God is victorious!" he affirmed.
