Freddie O’Connell, the mayor of Nashville, called Monday for an investigation after images of the manifesto were leaked, revealing he directed Metro Nashville Law Director Wally Dietz “to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released.”

“I am deeply concerned with the safety, security, and well-being of the Covenant families and all Nashvillians who are grieving,” O’Connell said in a statement.

Dietz confirmed to The Washington Times that “I am initiating a full investigation with multiple law enforcement agencies to determine exactly what happened.”

“At this time, we have limited information about this possible leak of documents related to the tragic shooting at Covenant School,” he said. “I cannot confirm or deny the authenticity of the documents due to the existing lawsuit.”
