Trump's Peace to Prosperity Plan (2020)

In January 2020, then-U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled the "Peace to Prosperity" plan, which sought to "achieve peace, security, dignity, and opportunity for Israel and the Palestinian people."

The plan included Israel agreeing to a four-year "land freeze" to help secure a two-state solution and a $50 million economic plan to "spur the Palestinian economy." The deal also included Israeli sovereignty over some settlements in the West Bank and land swaps. 

According to the American Jewish Committee, most of the international community rejected the plan, and the Palestinians didn't participate in the drafting of the plan and also rejected it.

As AJC noted, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas boycotted the Trump administration after the former president recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital in 2017.
