5 Unforgettable Moments in Sports This Year, Told by Retweets

Any sports fan would agree that these were five of the biggest sports moments to take place this year. It includes one, in each of the 5 major sports we follow in the U.S. Thanks to social media, especially Twitter, we were able to get the players reaction to each of these memorable moments.

Below each moment are the actual tweets about it from the actual player:

1. Henrik Lundqvist fulfills his lifelong dream of playing in the Stanley Cup Finals. He takes the ice in all the games played, but the NY Rangers do not come up victorious in the end. He is determined to get back to the finals and this time win the Stanley Cup!

2. The Boston Red Sox visited the White House after winning the World Series in the previous season. Something that had been plotted all along, but the internet had no idea it was coming. It became a HIT instantly. Only making the #Selfie picture even more popular, thanks to David Ortiz!

3. The bite from Luis Suarez that shocked the everyone during the World Cup. He has been known for similar instances and such penalty's with other players . But, none like this on such a big stage. He later apologized for his actions and posted it on Twitter for all to see.

4. The online feud between Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman and San Francisco 49er Michael Crabtree after the final play in the NFC Championship game.

5. LeBron James making the decision to return to Cleveland. The entire decision 2.0 swept the internet for a few days in July, until finally deciding to return home.
