'Curtis Jackson Denies These Allegations as Made Against Him,' Says Rapper's Attorney
50 Cent has been charged with domestic violence after an incident took place involving his ex-girlfriend on June 23. The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was not at the scene when police arrived, but the evidence was: broken chandeliers, broken furniture, a smashed TV and a ransacked bedroom closet were present at the woman's California condominium.
50 Cent's domestic violence charge was the result of him allegedly injuring the woman during the incident. Jackson and the unnamed woman had been previously dating and have a child together, but their meeting June 23 may have turned violent, as $7,100 worth of property in her Toluca Lake, Calif. condo was destroyed.
Despite the evidence of some sort of struggle, Jackson's attorney categorically denied any of the charges or allegations against him.

"Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest," the rapper's attorney Scott Leemon said in a statement.
"We have been in contact with the LA City Attorney's Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time," he added.
Police charged Jackson with one misdemeanor count of domestic violence and four misdemeanor counts of vandalism for the damages, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer told People magazine. The lawyer promised to investigate thoroughly.
"Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office," Feuer says in a statement. "We will continue to look out for the safety of all victims of domestic violence and seek justice for the alleged crimes."
Jackson's arraignment is July 22. He faces a maximum of $46,000 in fines and five years behind bars if found guilty.
