GOP debate tackles ‘Rich Men North of Richmond,’ Vivek's experience, Trump's indictments
Vivek Ramaswamy's experience questioned
During the debate, there were multiple attacks on 38-year-old Ramaswamy from the other candidates on the stage, who questioned his lack of public office experience.
“Who the heck is this skinny guy with a funny last name and what the heck is he doing in the middle of this debate stage?” Ramaswamy asked jokingly before introducing himself.

Ramaswamy argued that “it’s going to take an outsider” to fix the problems facing the United States, as opposed to “professional politicians in the Republican Party.”
Former Vice President Mike Pence defended the record of the Trump administration and then alluded to Ramaswamy when he said that “we don’t need to bring in a rookie” and “now is not the time for on-the-job training.”
Ramaswamy replied by calling his opponents “super PAC puppets,” and referred to himself as “a patriot who speaks the truth." He asked the audience “Do you want incremental reform” or “Do you want revolution?”
Later in the debate, when Ramaswamy called the other candidates on stage “bought and paid for,” Christie interjected, calling Ramaswamy “an amateur” who “sounds like ChapGPT.”
“The last person in one of these debates who stood in the middle of the stage and said ‘What’s a skinny guy with an odd last name doing up here?’ was Barak Obama, and I’m afraid that we’re dealing with the same type of amateur,” Christie continued.
“Give me a hug just like you did to Obama, and you’ll help elect me just like you helped elect Obama, too,” Ramaswamy fired back.
