Strem put on an amazing performance, taking down the 21 batters up against him in just 66 pitches, which is an average of just slightly more than three pitches per batter.

According to the Mercury News, 48 of Strem's pitches were strikes, with the pitcher finishing the game with a total of eight strikeouts.

His team can thank Strem for being able to make it through the game with a win. Things remained tight throughout, and it was still 0-0 until the sixth inning. At that point a single by St. Francis batter Mark Cardinalli drove in the game's two runs with a single through the infield.

The amazing accomplishment by Strem is extremely rare but has been achieved before. However, Strem managed to put on the extraordinary pitching show in the playoffs, which only goes to increase his achievement.

St Francis will progress to the next round, and there will be some tough competition lying ahead for them. They will certainly be hoping that Strem can remain on top form and put on some more fantastic performances to continue helping them progress.
