7 country music hit songs that put faith back on the mainstream charts

Carrie Underwood's "Love Wins"

Country superstar Carrie Underwood also continues to weave faith into her music. Although not as overt as her 2005 mega-hit "Jesus, Take the Wheel," or her 2014 baptism anthem, "Something in the Water,” her new single "Love Wins" features some Christian material as well.

"Sometimes it takes a lot of faith/ To keep believing there will come a day/ When the tears and the sadness, the pain and the hate/ The struggle, this madness, will all fade away, yeah/ I believe you and me are sisters and brothers/ And I, I believe we're made to be here for each other/ And we'll never fall if we walk hand in hand/ Put a world that seems broken together again/ Yeah I, I believe in the end love wins," Underwood’s lyrics read which align with what the Bible says will happen at the end of the world.
