2) Underoath

Starting out as a deathmetal band in their church, the band grew to incorporate more styles of metal and rock as they went along, all the while professing imagery of Jesus in their music. Much of their music was implied to be for the Lord, but blatant songs like "Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape" and "Too Bright to See, Too Loud to Hear" have undeniable cries to the Lord.

Underoath broke up earlier this year, but their legacy toward helping Christians make an impact in the mainstream is long lasting.

3) Lifehouse

Lifehouse broke onto the scene in late 1999/2000 with their first album No Name Face. That album featured their smash hit, "Hanging by a Moment."

Lifehouse is not often vocal about their faith, but lead singer Jason Wade is a known Christian and several songs reference the impact of Jesus in his life such as "Breathing" and "Everything," which is commonly used as a human video youth skit.

4) Thrice

Thrice was never known for being a Christian band, but there was no doubt that lead singer Dustin Kensrue was a believer in Christ.

In many of Thrice's songs he speaks about the Father's love, worshiping God, and even Peter's denial of Jesus.

Kensrue is currently the Worship Pastor of Mars Hill Church and just released his first worship album,The Blood and The Water.

5) Relient K

Relient K was discovered by TobyMac, and have since being making pop/punk tunes geared mainly for fun with touches of faith sprinkled throughout.

However, in the band's most serious moments, they get serious about God and have penned some amazing songs that speak upon forgiveness and hope.

6) Flyleaf

Flyleaf was a Christian band from the start. This female-fronted hard rock band has never been ashamed of expressing Jesus in their lyrics.

Ex-lead singer Lacey Sturm went straight for the hearts of young people with convicting lyrics. She even wrote a song about Columbine Shooting victim Cassie Bernall, who said "Yes" when the shooter asked if she believed in God.

7) The Devil Wears Prada

The Devil Wears Prada is a Christian metalcore band is have watched their popularity grow from year to year as they become one of the biggest bands in their genre.

Their name represents materialism in a playful way. "When standing before God, He won't care about your sweet Prada scarf or Gucci shoes or whatever," said singer Mike Hranica in an interview with High Wire Daze.
