7. Australia: Adelaide Christmas Pageant
Every year, the Australian city of Adelaide hosts the biggest Christmas parade in the Southern Hemisphere. Usually, over 300,000 spectators attend to see the play's floats, bands, choirs, dance groups, theatrical sets and costumed performers.
Australia’s National Pharmacies have sponsored and celebrated the parade every year since 1933, only canceling during World War II. The first parade lasted only 40 minutes, but attracted 200,000 spectators. Australian artists design and build floats and sets for the parade. The best one receives a reward.
