Update: E.W. Jackson took to X on Jan. 23 to announce that he was suspending his presidential campaign and endorsing Trump.

Bishop E.W. Jackson, who unsuccessfully ran for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia as a Republican in 2013, announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the President of the United States on July 14. In addition to his experience running for elected office, Jackson founded The Called Church in Chesapeake, Virginia and founded STAND, described as a “national nonprofit organization with a mission to bring Americans together across racial and cultural lines to preserve our Judeo-Christian values and heritage.”

Jackson has put together a list of his top 10 issues, beginning with America’s Judeo-Christian Heritage. He vowed that “Under a Jackson administration, the Judeo-Christian history, traditions, and culture of our country would be given respect and prominence again.”

Jackson is also advocating for Constitutional amendments defining marriage as a union between one man and one woman, establishing male and female as the only two genders and establishing a right to personhood for unborn children. Additional priorities identified by Jackson include the designation of September as American History Month and halting the federal funding of colleges and universities, which he laments have become “indoctrination camps.”
